"C" Qualifying Procedures

All States are currently updating and preparing their Qualification Procedures for 2011. Here are the guidelines that were used for 2010. As soon as all have been updated, we will remove this message.

State Tournament

All teams will be required to participate in a USSSA event (league or tournament) to be qualified for the Kansas USSSA State or MO-KAN State Tournamet.

USSSA "C" World Series

In 2010, USSSA will begin to host World Series events for the "C" level. This event will enhance and replace the C Midwest Championships. There will be a full qualification process in place for this event that will be held in July in Kansas City. The USSSA World Series qualifying procedures are determined by each State Director. They may vary based on available tournaments, number of teams registered, and several other criteria that can be used by a State Director. We will list here to policies of each state and what the protocol is for teams in that State are for qualifying for USSSA World Series. Please be sure to check the state of your registration to see how your team can get to one of the USSSA World Series events.

Kansas

For Kansas USSSA, teams can qualify in one or two possible scenarios:

**NEW for 2010**  All teams must participate in a USSSA Summer State Tournament (Kansas or MO-Kan) to fulfill any awarded berth for a USSSA "C" World Series.

Fall Qualifying
Direct Berth: For direct berths in all fall Kansas USSSA Tournaments, one berth will be awarded up to 12 teams.  Two berths for divisions greater than 12.  To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in one event after March 1st, and MUST participate in the Summer Kansas USSSA State Tournament or Summer MO-Kan State Tournament.
At-Large Berth: For the 2010 season, the Fall tournaments will only give 1/2 credit for the at-large qualifying.
Spring/Summer Qualifying
Direct Berth: For direct berths in all Kansas USSSA Tournaments, a sliding scale will be used to determine the number of berths awarded per division. For 1-6 teams, one berth will be awarded. For 7-11 teams, 2 berths will be awarded. For 12 or more teams, 3 berths will be awarded. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in the Summer Kansas USSSA State Tournament or Summer MO-Kan State Tournament.
At-Large Berth:
10U-14U Teams: Teams that participate in two (2) USSSA sanctioned events (league or tournaments - in any state) will be awarded a USSSA World Series berth. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in one tournament after March 1st, and the Summer Kansas USSSA State Tournament or Summer MO-Kan State Tournament.
15U-18U Teams: Teams that participate in two (2) USSSA sanctioned events (league or tournaments - in any state) will be awarded a USSSA World Series berth. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in one tournament after March 1st, and the Summer Kansas USSSA State Tournament or Summer MO-Kan State Tournament.

**Teams may be asked to participate in additional tournaments at the "B" or "C" level to verify or determine eligibility in Class "C".

Minnesota

 

Missouri

For Missouri USSSA, teams can qualify in one or two possible scenarios:

**NEW for 2010**  All teams must participate in a USSSA Summer State Tournament (Missouri or MO-Kan) to fulfill any awarded berth for a USSSA "C" World Series.

Fall Qualifying

Nebraska

Direct Berth-  Teams placing first or second in a WS qualifying tournament will be given a direct berth to the USSSA World Series that they are sanctioned for. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in at least 1 sanctioned USSSA event in Nebraska & in the Nebraska USSSA State Tournament.
 
At-large Berth-- Teams that participate in two (2) USSSA qualifying tournaments will be awarded a USSSA World Series berth. To fulfill this berth, teams MUST participate in at least 1 sanctioned USSSA event in Nebraska & in the Nebraska USSSA State Tournament.
